Baselines
Name a moment — an accepted offer, a phase delivered, a quarter closed — and freeze the project as it is: records and their text, acceptance criteria and their status, work, tests and their results, decisions and key numbers. Later compare it with today or with another baseline.

Taking one
Give the moment a name and, if you like, what was agreed. People with the Board WIP limits and locks permission take baselines here; your agent does it with take_baseline. A baseline is kept for good and recorded in the history.
Comparing
- Since then: records added, retired or changed (status or text), criteria added, removed or changed (status or statement), work and tests (results) that changed, new decisions, and the key numbers then and now, with maturity.
- Compare with: pick an earlier baseline, then a later one, to see what changed between two moments — for example between two quarters.
- Your agent answers the same with compare_baseline, e.g. "what changed since the offer was accepted?" — useful against scope creep and for delivery notes.
